You split 4 spear into spear whip, just to combine and made them into 1 spear, which is still disjointed, mind you. So it will be easy to parry.

Just use the 4 whip spear to attack from 4 different direction.

Totally agree on the merge spear thing being stupid. If block/parried, all 4 spear will be doing the same thing, and then being tangled up like that mean they have no chance to retaliate. Now, if this was supposed to be a 1-shot thing where he die & they have all the time to untangle, I still feel like 4 normal, straight spear would work better, less force dispersing from the joints to the side.

The atk from 4 direction idea seems fine, but if I learn anything from watching martial/period drama, is that you (a mob) don't at atk MC-grade character with long pointy stick from opposite direction while on horse back. That's how you spear each other. Sword is at least short, spear + forward momentum is a kabobs in preparation. Think of touching a coin on the ground with a stick, all it takes is a slight tap to the side & you will be missing entirely.
