It is definitely possible, there’s even been cases of humans skulls ricocheting bullets too (not from my own experiences though just some googling.) it just depends on a multitude of factors (the calibre of the gun, thickness of the skull, and where it hit the skull.) in this certain scenario it was just unlucky of gramps

I think it should say "A Hokkaido", not "An Hokkaido". Since h in Hokkaido isn't silent, an doesn't really make sense.

Gonsuke suffered a lot in that snowstorm. It seems both his body and spirit broke. But he still had bravery to be a decoy for a bear! What an amazing dude.

I'm glad that at his deathbed, his best friend was there.

I'm surprised that he had a son, and that son never met Hitonari. I guess Hitonari rarely left the provinces.
