Meanwhile Konomi in the corner;

"ohshitifuckedup! ohshitifuckedup! ohshitifuckedup! ohshitifuckedup! ohshitifuckedup! ohshitifuckedup! ohshitifuckedup!"
Konomi: "Ren showed me an ability that no one else knows about, she's so powerful, so she gets my vote"

Bell: "Ren even if you're the most powerful being in existence, it's meaningless if you can't protect anything with it. And since you don't consider such things, you don't get my vote. Hopefully that'll help you grow as a person and reach new heights."

Yeah... Bell practically obliterated Konomi with this. It's gonna be pretty awkward for Konomi after this. Honestly they better not let her off easy and instead have her wallow in self-guilt for a bit (at least 3 chapters).

I like this. Kyoka and Bell served Ren two big losses to hopefully prepare everyone for the real threat.

This is the best outcome. The obvious outcome of Kyouka winning didn't come easily, like some other mangas might have made, and Ren tasted a very good dose of Humble Pie before the worst possible scenario happened.
Bell was the MVP, a true friend that not only supports Ren, but also points out her mistakes and helps her overcome her short comings, despite her friend's over-inflated ego.

I haven't laughed so much at a voting result since Trump lost his second chance to be president.
As they say in my third world continent: Life gives and takes away, it takes away again and gives it to you again. I hope Ren learn from this experience.
Thanks Bell for helping Ren out of that state. She was drunk with power and needed that spank so badly.

I've been thinking about it, and I have little to no evidence, BUT the way the mangaka framed the position of the horny commander, I propose the theory that she is already in cahoots to some degree with the gods.

Like I said little to no evidence so I do not think a spoiler tag is warranted, but I shall explain nonetheless.

The way she illustrated and the way her inner monologue was written, leads me to believe she voted Ren because it would work towards the gods favor. As in Ren would have blinders on thinking she will win at anything she does, the confidence can become toxic. She also would have a good cliche going on by being this massive horndog to hide her true intentions. What do yall think?

Ren: "Nah, I'd win."

Bell (already spanking her): "No tf you wouldn't! You'd eat shit! Stop saying that!"

If Ren stopped to think a bit, she would realize her "superpower" has flaws. It doesn't work on MC (even before inner goddesses), so there is no guarantee of her victory. Bell, on the other hand, has first-hand experience with devastating ambush.

"Even if nothing happens to you, a lot of damage might happen to all that surrounds you"

That's literally exactly what the god of thunder's plan was, if they can't destroy Ren they will destroy everything BUT Ren.

Bell is goated.
That's what made me really happy with Bell, perfectly understood the risks! And that correction spanking lol

To me this was a very satisfying conclusion to this election arc,
now please lend Yuuki to Bell, she deserves a treat! :smugnako:
