Oh, I see why this "harem" has good rating. Because it has a lesbo going after MC main girl and perhaps will far for him too, so it will end in poly relationship (not harem) where the girls love each other as much as they love the main dude or sum.

This is not the only time it happened, unironically I'm starting to see a pattern.

This series is ridiculously good. It’s only been 80-ish chapters but it has far surpassed any harem series for me. (EVEN Na kang Kim which sounds crazy to say for an unfinished series).

The main aspects that make it so good are:

  • Stunning, I mean absolutely GORGEOUS art
  • An extremely unique protagonist
  • Underlying plot that is highlighted once in a while to drive mystery and excitement (kind of similar to TQQ but bit more bold and meaningful)
  • Fantastically written character arcs that cycle for everyone (they always end off a major character arc with a jaw-dropping double spread artwork. It’s one of the most rewarding things to witness)
  • Constant foreshadowing. Both for the main plot & for the individual chapters. Specifically, the author will usually highlight a sentence or phrase said earlier on in the chapter to then end it off with the exact same phrase as the chapter title. It’s a bit hard to explain… but it’s always a charming “aha” moment.
  • Not being afraid of development whatsoever. Progress in this series is NOT slow. Absurd amounts of character growth are shown every single chapter and the relationships between the protagonist and heroines is ever-evolving.
And major spoilers warning, but what really set this series aside from the rest for me: The fact that Arisu straight up asks all four of the main girls if they like him. Which sounds absolutely ridiculous but that’s just the type of character he is. And he proceeds to confirm their feelings, make an excuse for their feelings in order to maintain the club’s relationship and peace… then he immediately leaves without another word.

He is consistently like this too. When he encounters Apollo, the literal reason he joined the club in the first place, he declines her offer to show herself… instead, declaring that he’ll make all four of their dreams come true and will find out when that time comes. Bro is a man of sheer willpower. (As expected of a Yamabuki ig).
