Thank you for the translations. Really like how they are each other's biggest fan. I wonder why they didn't just take a train? Too expensive?

This quickly became a top 10 manga for me even just through 20+ chapters. The development and sense of genuine heartfelt weight are next to immaculate.
It’s not everyday you get a sports manga where both the coach and the young athlete are trying to move forward and work together to overcome the strongest adversities. I’m rooting for them all the way.

Inori unintentionally saying things like that to validate sensei’s efforts thus far. I love their relationship so much and I love how both of them help develop each other.

I’ve actully been wondering this myself. Inori & Tsukasa’s home rink is in Aichi prefecture (Nagoya specifically), but a quick map search showed that they’d need pass through the Tokyo prefecture to get to Niigata. It’d take 13+ hours or so to travel by train (including station hopping).

Driving from Aichi to Niigata would be a 5+ hour drive though. Seeing as they’ve reach Lake Suwa, they’ve only really driven 2+ hours from Nagoya. So I’m assuming they left really late in the evening from Nagoya, slept, then drive the rest of the way to Niigata and spend the entire next day dedicated to practice.

They’re on a time crunch, so it makes sense why they’d want to avoid traveling an entire day via transit.

I see, thank you very much for the research and the detailed explanation. I thought if they are using it train will be faster and less tiring as he didn't need to drive. But wow, that is really a lot of difference.
