Probably the former. The snakes are a good indicator of her feelings. For the first 10 chapters they were staring daggers at him even when she was making jokes. Now they are much friendlier, and this chapter even heart eyed.

Not sure why you'd think that. It makes sense to me without the NSFW.

Like a lot of other manga of this type usually the fanbox NSFW isn't meant to be canon...or at least not necessary.

Without NSFW, every chapter (two pages) is same "take off my blindfold". With NSFW it ends up with different hentai scenes.

Seems the 'same' difference to me. And it doesn't give any meaningful additional insight, reason, or context to their relationship. So I don't know where the 'makes sense' comes from.

And if you mean it makes sense as to why this manga exists....it doesn't do that either. Does the author need any special context to draw NSFW? Especially when from what I've seen, they don't even make use of the fact that she's a Medusa.

Hentai has no goal, hentai is an end in itself. So repeating the same blindfold joke makes sense. But hithout hentai, it's pointless.
