You know...when Kuroko no Basket made the zone popular in Japanese manga...I didn't think that the relatively accurate (in terms of how it works, not the degree of ability it gives) depiction of the experience would get more and more exaggerated as time goes. Now the state of the mind choosing to focus only on the things needed for a task at hand is some kinda risk your life to tap into your true potential kinda thing :/ The zone is cool enough on it's own they don't have to go crazy with it.
