Well, I do have to say I learned a lot about running after reading this. Pretty wholesome overall.

Honestly a let down. It is a really weird Manga that tries to toe the line between this wholesome informative running manga and this smut filled spicy romance with a boy and his older brother's ex, but both sides honestly end up suffering. Like it tries to be informative about true running track stuff and some real info in how to increase testosterone, but is based on the false premise that this would help someone who is isn't low on testosterone. Adding testosterone if you have low levels like a 40 year old weightlifter can do wonders, but adding more if you have enough is not this magic thing. But I can forgive that as it is the whole premise I suppose, but it doesn't stop there. It tries to be wholesome while having someone literally cheat constantly. It is this smutty manga that just constantly edges and teases with the smut and their relationship. Never wanting to move forward. Kyouko not telling him what is going on saying it is none of his business, even as they do sexual things all the time despite her husband, his own brother. And ending spoilers below.

Worst of all it tries to have this wholesome ending where Katase gets to with the obvious girlfriend they set up obviously earlier. Kyouko ends up with his brother, but with now hime being the trainer. ignoring that he likely knows all the weird things he did to train his younger borother. But it is beyond annoying as the thing keeping them apart wasn't him cheating but his brother being an idiot and thinking he couldn't tell her about his injury cause she would blame herself too much. A trope you see in shows far too much and that is annoying everytime. As everyone reading realizes it is stupid the moment it is said. This of course just done to set up them being able to get back together and despite protag saying he loves her and mostly trying to get with her the entire story. Meaning he gets teased literally and emotionally for the whole damn manga just like the readers. Him even saying he loves her near the end only to give up immediately when his brother tells him and he refuses her despite everything up to that point. But hey there is the other girl his age they set up so its ok and not totally annoying after all that buildup just to get with a girl not even in a quarter of the chapters. Even Kyouko had thoguhts about falling for him multiple times before this. None of this is ever adressed though as we have to get to the wholesome ending where they get back together and he ends up with the the girl his age. Never adressing these feelings they had for each other. Probably would have been a better smut story following his brother. Based on how the other runners reacted with protag around he probably had even more fun than protag, even if his relationship with Kyouko isn't spicy as they were in the same class. Honestly this manga just needed to commit to one, be a wholesome running manga or a smutty spicy relationship manga, trying to get both just made it worse.

Fails to be fun spicy smut or a cute wholesome manga. 4/10.

Only a galaxy brain can appreciate what this author has made. In this whole manga, the main plot is the MC gets blue balls constantly from the woman, always on edge. Slowly, their relationship deepens, and the edge gets harder as the MC keeps getting blue balls over and over and over again.

And finally, in the ending,... NO ONE GETS TOGETHER, MC and the Main Girl just move on with their lives.

The author, with his final pen stroke, edges YOU, the READER, completing the whole cycle.

Only a true genius can write a plot that breaks out of the 4th wall and affects the reader directly. One of the greatest edges of all time, a meta-edge
