Holy shit yes. Is this the author's way of coping after being groomed and sexually abused in a similar way?
Its fucking disgusting how its handled in this manga. None of that woke bullshit where people loose their shit cause "omg sexy loli character is literal cp" but this is unironically one of the most deranged portrayals of this topic ive ever seen.
Meguro spent years acting as a cum rag because thats what her first love, an authority figure, basically taught her was the correct thing to do at a vulnerable age. To the point she feels she isnt worthy of genuine love from the first guy that doesnt try to fuck her.
There's good reason people under 18 cannot consent. If anything this manga makes me think the age of consent should be raised.
Tbh, there is some things I agree with but some stuff you type goes a bit far. I lost all respect for the author, but I would rather not insult or make harsh accusations. Same with others making this about her being a woman or anything else, I don't really care.
Fact is, the author is uninformed and ignorant. As for my take:
The author's gross negligence in this case really is dangerous. It certainly is more hurtful than anything else.
Imagine a young adult woman that was in a similar situation reading this work, IRL mind you, that did not react like Meguro did (simply forgiving the perpetrator and even telling herself that she can love her abuser for what he did and meet him with a smile).
That is how unusually wild the author's views and writing are. This can be a real problem. This can hurt/impact real people reading this work of fiction.
Just my humble two cents on the author not doing ANY real research when feeling the need to put out this content. Get a specialist or editor involved instead of lazily disregarding everything you chose to establish and ending on this pseudo-philosophical embarrassment. Literally, get help.
I for one can only say, after having thought about this chapter once more, that I am
unironically and genuinely happy for the author having a relatively tiny social media following and presence. They clearly have some questionable takes and skewed views on some heavy topics, I would rather recommend them not to publicly comment on anything, at all.
This chapter and the whole Sensei situation showed what
THE AUTHOR PERSONALLY thinks a teen girl reacting to meeting her groomer and sexual expoliter (Meguro factually knows) would look like. And it is plain disgusting.
Again, this most probably confirmably stems from the author simply knowing nothing about the inner workings of victims and the overall mental state of humans in these situations, as with most people that don't personally know anyone that experienced something like that and that is okay.
But
the author made the conscious decision to include and play out Meguro and Sensei involving themes like that. Failing to deliver and terrible writing are solely on them (author). That is why I called it gross negligence and ignorance.
