Well it was established he has no control over how far back he goes/it's tied to his emotions (or maybe he can't rly train it/practice it enough but this kinda power does seem like it'd be inconvenient if you were easily agitated/sensitive to where you have to deal with a 'loop' if you don't have access to like calming drugs or so )
