ok now even here if we forget what has happened in the past then this could form a nice story. here he sees that a war is breaking out both sides have reasons for war. he could choose germany's side to help them win or he could try to stop the war the idea ill with here is the latter. once he hears of war breaking out he could try to make a force to stop the war. and work with outside forces aswell meeting allies along the way. making something reminiscent of the legend of the galactic heroes even maybe. sadly history cannot be changed.
