They could simply have placed the manga adaptation on indefinite hiatus. Seeming instead to call things quit because they've currently no more LN to adapt just leaves a bad taste.

There's little diffence. She's obviously yanderish, but she never tried to kill him. Girls that affected by curse tried to kill him instantly, Saito only was threatening him to look only at her. Yandere ≠ Cursed, so we are safe... probably.

Honestly, I'm hoping that the LN is much longer, and that Yuki is not the "destined girl". Her behavior around other girls has made it pretty clear that even if she doesn't have those heart eyes she is still under the yandere spell. She's dangerous, plain and simple.

Another reason I hope the LN goes longer honestly is because of Maria. I'm always interested in characters that are portrayed as non-villains but simultaneously are shown to exhibit such hatred or disapproval of the MC. I always want to see them change their mind and the process that leads to that change. Doesn't have to fall for him, but I'd love it if she grew to accept him as a friend. Though it would be entertaining if she ultimately ended up the destined girl, or better yet helped him to break the curse completely so he could be free to find the girl of the destiny he himself chooses.
