What's the point of this kind of story? Why couldn't they tell this properly in enough chapters and enough natural development? I'm unfortunately used to xianxia manhua adaptations to boast a reckless speed that would make an old Concorde captain cry in envy, but this still takes the cake. How could I ever care for characters that have only a few lines of introduction and a couple of pictures, huh? I couldn't care less about what happens to them, even if they died, so this is totally meaningless.
Edit: I was fooled once again, after having forgotten the weird Chinese literary habit of having a "prologue" that spoils the beginning (or more) of the actual story. Reading the first proper chapter I finally remembered it, and how I had decided to always skip those so called "prologues" in manhua that aren't prologues as we in the West understand it, they are just official spoilers for who knows what reason. Alas, my decision is no good when my lousy brain forgets all about it.
