To everyone asking for an explanation: This probably a reference to Pokemon Masters, a mobile game where you collect not only pokemon, but various characters in the Pokemon universe. The joke here is that the new girl is excited to hang out with Rosa and she's all excited too, but the new girl is just playing Pokemon Masters on her phone and is a stab at gamers filling the voids in their hearts with virtual 2D waifus.

....okay that last bit I was just inserting, but yeah this seems to be referencing the Pokemon Masters mobile game since Rosa is one of the first trainers you get.
