Every time I read a story like this, I get a renewed understanding of how naive my mentality is.
I keep hoping that the opposing group won't be 100% irredeemable bandits, and that there may be some leeway here.
I.E: I sympathize with the bandits, when in the end, they prove beyond a shadow of doubt that they don't deserve any sympathy.
Indeed, those who live out their lives in such an environment for over a decade will know better.
I feel like this is a pretty solid RP, D&D setting, in that sense.
