I would say romance manga in general. They have done this with lots of harems where the mc is a piece of shit and one of the girls is so toxic yet he forgives her. Besides romance, if Naruto can forgive Orochimaru then I guess this manga has a right to redeem that fucker.

I don't know if y'all forgot, but after they broke up, he's been nothing but nice. He was worried that a stalker was hanging around Tsumigi and moved out instantly after triggering Itoshi and then was vibin with Maki. The series gets off on a really rough spot with him, with him trying to hit her (we don't even know if he actually wanted to hit or not, or just scare her) but like, I feel like he is no worse than Tsumigi and Itoshi, especially in the beginning of the series. They're all kinda crappy people, I thought that was the whole point of the series.
