If there's one thing that kept me hooked on the series so far, it was the fact that the Numbers, who were once just "hunters without rules," finally realized they were alive because of their "team spirit," not just because they needed to survive.
It's weird to say this, but it's because their origins were in "the Camp," where they were tortured and everything; when we watch the flashbacks, we always see the Numbers—including 001/Jin—helping each other at the end.
It's no wonder "Mad Dog" was killed by the Numbers. As much as they were trained by their leader, he was a bit "crazy" and, at the same time, capable of betrayal without thinking, and not "to protect" his students at "the Camp."
It seems the "Numbers" may ultimately become protected civilians thanks to their latest actions (and Jin's actions, too). But let's see what the screenwriter has, because now with the arrival of animation, we have to see where the story goes.
