They literally JUST got given their powers and were thrown headfirst into a literal and figurative blender. No shit they're incompetent, they're being treated as disposable, so they've got the training of disposable grunts.

Yeah very disposable, they need 48 hours to get their full powers, but for some reason they transformed only 14 hours before battle.
