scared? struggling? The previous summoning was a relatively normal, "getting summoned by a king," and then he gets put in a situation where he would die if he did not get summoned again. That is at least what I think a normal person would do in that situation.
You're talking like every person reacts the exact same way in specific situation..when a sudden shoot-out happens, you will see a pletoria of reactions: some ppl will start running in panic, some taking cover, some curling up in a corner, some start crying and some ppl will be pretty chill about it...heck, you'll even see ppl filming to whole thing like they're bulletproof ; btw. this was already the forth summon for him: 1. summoned to the godess, from there to the king, back to the godess and then summond by the mad scientist.

The goddess is just the transition between the summons, I don't count that. And I don't think people would have the same reaction, but most people would have similar reactions like those you pointed out. (except for being chill, and filming, those are not reactions normal people would have. I know because I would be relatively chill about it.) They are all of the same kind, to be scared. He was not scared at all, he was just annoyed to be put in the situation. Like being in detention (or something)

This is so close to just being super cool and super interesting but as usual the Mangaka doesn't have the time to fully realize a character actually stepping out of the existing mold. My theory is that the production cycle of storyboard -> weekly releases doesn't really allow for a balance between writing like an Architect and a Gardner. If your world is being made up as you go along, you cant let your characters loose much because their wont be enough limits to constrain them.
The character drama has to carry everything here, but luckily its so good its still pretty readable.
I'll keep reading but I'll always wish I got to see a version of this guy that's even more strange and surprising.

That lad's a ticking time bomb that even the Demon Lord is wary of, to the point he's making certain that his closest companion is warned before she takes on his color a bit too much.

:wooow: That's fun; thanks for the translations!

He is just a psychopath. No need for this pseudo justification. Psychopathy doesn't manifest in a singular way so its stupid to try and explain it in other ways just to make him look even more edgy and special.

Unfortunately, 'special' is exactly what the author is trying to go for. Psychopaths are real and not that uncommon (and also misrepresented in fiction, but that's another issue entirely), so they're lame. But MC-kun totally isn't lame, he's cool and deep and shit, so we gotta come up with some special explanation.

It's kinda like with Juujika where the story pretends the main villain is super cool for killing people for absolutely no reason, because no one's ever done that or something. In their attempts to make uniquely evil characters these authors just betray their own lack of skill.

And as a sidenote, the idea that MC-kun is severely lacking as a human being, but somehow almost perfect as a living being is pretty fucking funny. Yes, Demon King, the guy who, as you just explained, is quite literally incapable of cooperating with others and whose moral character (something that is not exclusive to humans) is completely inexistent is close to perfect. Sure.
