Have you ever tried to buy a can opener from Amazon? Well might as well kill me.
Recently acquired a can opener from somewhere after the old one, I think I inherited from my great grandfather, just stopped working well.
It's a piece of shit. So... Have an Amazon gift card I think my sister gave me for my birthday a year ago, or maybe secret santa work shit or could of honestly just found it on the ground. The point is I never buy shit on Amazon. Figured I'd use it now on a can opener perhaps with some canned food as well.
Just going though the 700+ manual can openers & reading reviews about how they either rust, don't cut, or make the lids into deadly weapons (may go with that one). I noticed that a VAST majority of the products are the exact same core product (entire metal centerpiece) with various different handles or logos or turning knobs (colors too). The worst part? That centerpiece matches precisely to the very same can opener I already have that's so trash, it's bending.
I'm so depressed by this reality. I just want a quality product. Price used to at least help in determining if something was shit. Now? Even 20x the lowest price doesn't mean it's not the same trash.
$30 vs $5 ... Yet boy do they look surprisingly similar. Just 2 of the 50+?
