After look this I need to do a little Italian lesson
Child = in italian we don't have a single genderless word but two that are "bambino" for male and "bambina" for female, this is for indicate a single child.
Children = the italian word for indicate 2 or more "child" is "bambini" that can be used for indicate a group of male children or a group of mixed gender children (both male and female children in a single group) while for indicate a group of female only children we use "bambine"
sometimes I have the feeling that some people don't search the meaning of the foreign words they use...
PLUS
Famiglia = family, if we talk of criminal family than can indicate a criminal organization or a real family composed only by criminals
Ragazzo = mean "boy"
Cosa Nostra = it's an italian criminal organization, others are "Camorra" and "Ndrangheta"... given that "cosa nostra" is probably the most famous outside Italy, I'm not surprised of it's use.
