@Varler lol if it does go that way I hope she ends up on the street too for misunderstanding mercenary hardship (or I guess in this case the other commanding pig she wanted out would have her thrown out) then mc and group would find her
@SaitoZX Yeah but she disagreed with the Timeframe and the repercussion. And the amount it seems so someone played dirty.
On a side note "Spoiler for the next chapters"
They, at least in my eyes improved this chapter somewhat compared to the novel, mostly because they removed the accidental unfortunate implications. In the Novel he did the "I want you spiel before he payed what she owed (Even thinking that it seems like he's forcing her because she doesn't really have any other choice) and only thought about how he wants her because of her experience as a Mercenary for her crew making it seem for her and outside observers that he wants her for her body. Here he clearly said he wants her for being a Veteran and it's after they already paid so her kinda misinterpreting his words is more on her. Now to see how they handle what happens later
I only started doing mercenary work cause I was just getting bored waiting around for my colonies to do a hit and I was always destroying pirate bases and luddic path bases when they target my colonies
@DDosGaming Mercenarys may be technically civilians, but there is still a difference to normal people, tbh, they could have just arrested her on the spot. Intent isnt needed for punishment and the damaging of military property can be seen as damaging the nations capabilities to defend itself, which can incur harsh punishment, especially in a obviously not really democratic nation ^^ still, as she said, she intended not to punish her, she should have only paid the damages, not a extra fine, but someone in the chain that hates mercenaries put it in. minor spoileri to that
If I recall right he gets punished for it, but all hail bureaucracy, the damage is done and she cant change that, since its already in the system and all and doing so would mean someone even higher up then her had to change it and I mean, that would be like saying "yeah, we made a mistake", easier to just fuck up one mercenary which isnt toooo liked because of their independence anyway.
She is supposedly a 5-year veteran, why was she using a ship that can explode on you?
Seems like a beginner mistake considering the ship is a mercenary´s lifeblood.
Or was there any skullduggery going on?
