Funny enough, the "AI" we have isn't actually intelligent. So, it doesn't have any will or new ideas. It's all just following a set of directions. Even its "tone" and "personalities" are manufactured completely by humans.I like the idea that mechanical intelligence doesn't have the instinct or urge to propagate so the wish to destroy competitors is minimum. How I wish our current dilemma with AI would go down this path, or more peaceful one.
It's not AI that's threatening jobs and other such things, it's the people making it. Which, damn, isn't that saying a thing?
Edit: Ah, also, yeah, I like that they talk about AI propagation. It wouldn't really need to propagate, not the way humans do. Cause, like, they're functionally immortal as long as their systems are intact. No need to pass on a legacy or be remembered by someone when you can effectively be eternal as long as you back yourself up.
