For how strange the premise of this manga is, I always enjoy whenever a chap releases.

This boat especially seems goofy because they could do the whole "leave it at sea and travel via smaller boats" thing like they were thinking of with the floating island, but part of the idea of ferries is usually cargo hauling, which would require them to load it from the dock. Though iirc he can store items through putting them on boats, so I guess he can summon his other ships inside of the ferry's cargo hold so that the cargo's on the ferry.

What I appreciate is the fact it's clearly a ship lover wanting to do an isekai but having enough restraint to not wank all over boats the entire time with pages of technical loadout of boats.

If this is Galicia I found a listed building cost of 195M euro, or 27 billion yen. Good deal at 10 billion yen...

379 cabins, 22 knot cruise speed

For a magic boat, should have bought something fast and hard to maintain in real life

Pretty sure the image is based on either the Ferry Dougo or Ferry Shimanto. Can find pretty good POV travel videos on YouTube if you want a better idea of the scale.

The cruise liner, whenever he manages to get it, is going to destroy their minds. The bigger cruise liners would literally be cities unto themselves in that kind of day and age where I suspect a typical village is maybe a couple hundred at the MOST. I haven't read the novel, but I hope he gets it/has it by now.

Yeah please do, I have a confusing compression of ferry like a boat that can transport cargo and cars and less big

If only they have more translated chapters of the novel, I would love to read it. The reactions are worth the read in this one. Too bad we can't have more chapters out faster. 20 pages a month seems very slow for me.

Well, you're not wrong, it's just that the word is used for a lot of things.

You're thinking of the almost raft-like ferry that replaces a road when a bridge could almost as easily be built. (But isn't, usually because there's also a shipping lane in the waters, and a bridge would either have to be possible to open or be suuuuper high, and it's just cheaper with a ferry - or because all land where the foundations for the bridge would be put is bad or already taken, and/or the ferry works good enough for the amount of traffic anyway)

Meanwhile this ferry is more like the kind called roro vessel - where the crossing doesn't take 30 minutes or less, but 4 hours or more (easily 10-18 hours crossing at this size), tickets are also often sold for "small cruises" but it's just "there and back again", so maybe 24-36 hours total, and 2-3 ports of call.

Meanwhile a cruise liner expects you to stay aboard for at least a week, and has as many ports of call that they can fit into the initerary. (And the largest ones are stupid huge.)

Maybe its a specialized Japanese Ferry in that country has a lot of islands or is like a ferry that conect the transport to the famous islands, maybe you need that type of ferry

At least the bath wasn’t so stupidly obsessed over in the comic. The rice seems to be another matter entirely though. Always sad to see these writers be unable to withhold themselves from writing this crap in.

What the fuck dude, that isn't a Ferry, that's fucking Cargo Ship. More than 60 people? NO SHIT

How are you going to get on the fucking thing, genius. Do you even know how to pilot one? Because you do have to pilot the fucking thing in this case.

Where are you even going to berth it?!?!
