You're right, I thought it was just the imgur upload, but I guess not. I'll fix that later today

I love the credit page at the end of this chapter xD. This England vs. Japan thing was bugging me for a while now... When the author would state that certain sweets are not available in the UK for examlpe (the koala cookies....): well, I'm not from the UK but I live in Europe and those koalas were available in your average supermarkets since I was a kid which is more than 20 years ago. Or all that praising of japanese sweets while having a pic of Meiji'S Kinoko no Yama... sorry, no, we've got Switzerland and Belgium here, I've tried Meiji chocolate and some other japanese choclateries and nope, I prefer Lindt ^^'. Meiji choco tastes like the cheapest of the cheapest stuff that I can get in a supermarket here in Europe... (oh, and Kinoko no Yama are also available where I live...) I somewhat feel like I'm reading Soviet Union literature where you've got to praise your country every two chapters or something (Makarenko's "Flags on the Battlements" I'm talking about you ugh...), except nobody's forcing Shigeno to do that (unlike Makarenko who had been in trouble with the communistic party....)

To be fair, his genius isn't in being able to write kanji, it's in having photographic memory... but using kanji as the ultimate demonstration of that is a bit cheesy and stereotypical, I won't deny that. I think the author is just doing his best to make him look as a "gaijin", but since he's a japanese himself, it's a bit difficult for him to do it convincingly?
