Taesoo was/is not oblivious to that. There's a panel in the first chapter that shows Taesoo at Mia's apartment with every item left having asset seizure red stickers and clearly showing signs that the apartment was hastily abandoned. But her shutting him out despite his constant messaging is probably what gave Taesoo that impression of her leaving without a word, which to be fair, she did, regardless of trauma and anxiety or whatever else. I assume we'll learn more soon.Wait a sec
Why am I not seeing more discussion about the panel where it states her dad dragged her out of her home town?????????????
Doesn't this mean she was forcibly separated from Taesoo against her will, while Taesoo believed (and still does) she left him without a word???
Why isn't literally anyone talking about this?
It also states that she only stopped smiling when she was dragged away from her hometown....
Goodness this got dark real quick
Also, from Taesoo's perspective, it's understandable that he's simply unable to move on. Can't control the heart. While they haven't given precise timelines in the story, there are more than a few hints, and it is explicitly stated that the two of them dated from middle school until 2nd year of high school when she disappeared, and Taesoo even comments once that the number of years they haven't seen each other is equal to the number of years they were together. So 5 years, first teenage love, and zero closure for that period of time, boy has never really moved on. Hayoon even mentions at some point that he was a complete mess for a long time after Mia disappeared.
