Also im sure you've seen how well they match, their conversations flow to naturally and they know and complement each others personalities so well. Yes, im aware getting the the point where they get back together will be a much harder path(for everyone) but i still think its the right one.

technically correct, the best kind of correct. based on the story, it was a lot longer than six months though, that was just the period of time he lived at Heesu's apartment, which was already at least a year to a year and a half after her disappearance. We've also see Hayoon comment on what he went through for years after her disappearance. The comments by him wondering if she was still alive may also explain the relief rather than bitterness he felt when he first encountered her again after 5 years.
