It was the sort of ending I needed, so glad they took these last two chapters seriously to wrap up the storylines, would have loved to see this animated.
Everyone got such satisfying resolutions... At the beginning it felt like all the blacksuits were the same, but then you start to remember each single one just like Tonegawa has to, I am so happy that Saemon-Saburo got together with Nishigichi for good after they'd briefly dated earlier on, also Yamazaki is turning into a Tonegawa successor just like they've been foreshadowing for the longest time, glad to see everyone else moved on in their own ways, even Ebitani grew up and became more mature.
Also extremely glad that there's a hopeful note for Tonegawa, in my interpretation the shot at the beach conveys he's either retired or simply stopped working, finally dropped the whole act of being the perfect company man, he's done with that life and he's finally free, so maybe what happened to him was for the best, we've seen that his commitment to his work took his entire life up until now away from him, he never got married and he never followed his dreams of playing guitar, among probably tons of other things he's had to deprioritize for work, probably at this point he's even saved up enough money and just kept working for the habit of work being the only thing he has in his life. Now he's out to find his peace.
Don't give up, Tonegawa!
Thanks so much for your continuous, non-stop and super reliable hard work @chinchiro_addict
