The bit with the mechanical pencil seemed like a bit of a cop-out, but I'm glad to see that both she and her sister are moving forward.

I mean, the middle aged man is shown carrying a small sickle at some point, but I wonder… why does it matter that Romm caught on to it? If Death is absolute, it wouldn't bother whether some puny human can see it or not.

Romm is saying "how it looks to you", go back to when Romm was talking to Miko about how she views entities/ghosts. Miko sees them very clearly, like they're as real as people. But not in this current picture.
