Heard from a military nerd that if a conflict happened in an island nation like Taiwan or Japan, it would be like fighting a mountainous country like Afghanistan.
Not really a military buff, but I wouldn't be surprised if they got some inspiration from historical events like the Britain-Afghan war. That being said, every time I hear "solider that won the war", I smell national propaganda.
