I wondered whether to hold this one back for a while for a bunch of reasons - it's Christmas, and I can't keep this weekly schedule going forever... but what the hell, here you go.

Oh no, I thought the sad part was going to be the hamster not living very long, but it's going to be the hamster outliving her.

That's a winner mentality right there, why pay for stuff when there's so much of the same thing just laying out there in the trash

Fr which is why I'm going to have to stop reading this. I don't want to see our little struggle bunny died

Honestly, people throw out very good furniture and usable stuff out all the time! Even leave em to the curb on the street, someone will pick it up.

Back in college and I was moving out of my studio apartment, instead of throwing my furniture out to the dumpster I decided to kind of leave them by the door with a note "free to take" along with my small lego set pieces. They were gone in a manner of hours, understandably since 90% of the people living there were also fellow college students lol

Yeah, if it's still in working condition someone will find a use for it.

Probably 75% of the stuff I set out on the curb for monthly big-trash pickup is gone within a few hours. People cruise neighborhoods looking for that stuff. I assume most of it ends up at swap meets.
