So don't make a 30 chapter arc themed around Acting if he never cared to come back to begin with, like i said, either commit to innovation or advance the original concept, this arc didn't do either it was a waste of time

Yeah, this. This is the biggest problem with the overarching plot: Yuu becoming a househusband isn't really much of a plotline.

and it is exactly what Yuu has been doing all along, so confirming this was unnecessary at best;

Even adults frequently need confirmations that the choices they've made have been the right ones.

2) meeting his two former colleagues was meant as a step in overcoming his complex about acting. It changes nothing about his situation or dynamic with the sisters, but
3) his complex itself is now a moot point, since he seemingly doesn't give a shit about acting anyway;

On the contrary: moving from "recognized as worthless and thrown away from that possible career path" to "recognized as potentially capable by chosen himself to avoid that possible career path" is major character growth for Yuu. The only problem is the direction of that growth (that is, throwing career ambitions away in favour of home life).

Conclusion: this entire arc was not only a boring slog, but a monumental waste of time since it set nothing up and had no payoff at all -unless you count a couple of blushes and improvised lines of appreciation and gratitude.

There are literally three confessions from the sisters, o brother mine. What more could you want.

Well, if you need characters to go on lengthy monologues spelling out exactly what they might be thinking about something to understand that they do, then sure, Yuu did majorly let you down.

This is what I don't like about multiple option rom-coms... two sisters are gonna end up sad at the end. I much prefer "definite couple with easily defeated roadblocks occasionally" like Kimi No Todoke or My Love Story.

The density of people thinking director Samejima is just gonna give up like this is too damn high!

It might be a slightly later arc, but I can see Yuu definitely getting roped into acting - probably helping out with Kazuki's acting troupe and actually finding a spark or something.

Sena and Ginga being added to the main cast as high prio side characters also helps in this regard.

And just to reiterate, yes this was the Namek arc, and people thining Frieza only turned up once didn't watch frikkin DBZ whatsoever.

Because the idea of a male protagonist realizing that he's happiest as a "cute and supportive softboy househusbando" (and that it's where he's most skilled to boot) instead of a badass chad makes them shortcircuit.

God forbid Yuu actually enjoy cooking and housework and supporting the people he loves.

The thing that really beguiles the mind though too is that, bro has already gone through his acting arc, we just weren't there for it, it's unnecessary though to go back to it. I love this comment though because I think you might be right but yeah, he's already gone through that arc, we don't need him to go through it again, so glad the author didn't put him back into acting.

The way you talk you act like this hasn't been just like every arc, the only thing different with this one is there was an attempt at a confession and NOW Yuu knows they actually have feelings for him. Which is a huge advancement compared to previous arcs if you actually bother to think about things instead.

i really hope i'm wrong, but the author just seems to have given up on progressing the plot
