Hmm, I don't really have a good read on the mc yet enough to tell if I like or dislike him.
I do like the girl introduced, as she seems to be someone more humble and probably patient oriented. Where MC seems to be ambitious and more ego driven, wanting fame/fortune, with more unclear goals(he seems like the kind of person to let stuff come to him rather than actually work hard to create his success).
I find it kinda crappy for his girlfriend of 10 years to dump him after starting to see someone else(at the very least have the decency to break things off before you start seeing someone else).
But certainly there will be more to the story. 10 years is a long time regardless.

Aww couldn't they just employ both? They looked like capable therapists.

yeah , competition aside, feels like other than it being a part time thing, a physical therapist is something that'd be good to have 3-4 of for a hospital that big or so if not a 'backup' versus one for the whole hospital unless they're reporting to a full team or so
