this might not be a good idea but for the math joke, how about using "tangerine"? It's kinda similar to tangent + it also ends with "-ine" like sine and cosine (altho the pronounce is slightly diff) just my opinion

It's a bit too unrealistic for my taste. I mean, not that I mind fantasy or isekai, but the world is so surreal and artificial, I can't really feel immersed in the story. It'd be fine if it was like sci-fi/mystery or something, but for a romcom, I'd prefer it if it felt more internally consistent. Also, even within the setting, it's like the author couldn't come up with a plausible reason for him to revert to his earlier stats, so they just ignored the problem and reset him for no reason at all. That's just sloppy.

If a game made me consume stats to participate in events, I would totally flip out.

Star Knightess Aura (yes the hardcore NTR pron game) has a boss battle where you sacrifice your stats for temporary power-ups. It's not mandatory to do so though, and if you're strong enough already you can manage.
