I fear this is what the devs are gonna do soon when they see the game is not progressing as intended:

My guess is, the dramatic conclusion of the manga will be a reset, but the Power of Love™ will cause them to magically remember their love for each other and time spent together. That's at least the 90s-00s formula for how a romance overcomes memory loss.
