Misato, despite being the titular character, is somehow the worst character in the manga. All the other characters continue to make her look bad in some way. I wouldn't say this an uncommon phenomenon in other stories, but still.

I keep gushing about how hot Misato is (and she is; I love her boobs a lot). But real talk: the story never stops treating her like a joke. The other men in the story actually have pretty relatable issues that they try to work through and overcome.

But Misato...doesn't really get that.
