the L'Étranger joke here is so funny and clever. this manga's a great companion to kodama maria 'cause while this one never really ventures into anything "literary" in its own content, when this mangaka flexes their lit chops (beyond having the characters rattle off trivia as part of a gag), it's always in service of a pretty tight point or punchline. something's there, even if it's just a one-off joke. whereas the, i dunno, literariness and """"references"""" in kodama maria produce something murkier and more meandering that doesn't always have much to it. but both works are very cool

Very nice manga, the passing is good, the characters aren't super memorable and unique, but they aren't cliche, and it gives a vibe of a years 2000 manga, but let's be honest no matter how you look at it, this is basically a book recommendation manga, at least kodama maria have a more complex plot beside the book recommendation, but still very good manga.
