Well at least the ending is consistant with all of the rest of this...

Vain and pointless.

You gotta be pretty metal to blow up a whole school while standing right outside.

Very interesting. I like how you can read this as an existentialist work about how everything seems arbitrary, absurd, and pointless

It's somewhere between Absurdism and Nihilism.

Not exactly cryptic. You have to move on past your school days, living looking back at it isn't living at all.
And living is work whether you want to do it or not, and involves putting on a face for others, not recognising people you once knew, being a cog in others' machine, having expectations from others, having something to show for it, and it doesn't stop until it ends.

If she really wanted to escape all of that mundane crap, she should've gotten within range of the blasts.

I just made an acc to comment on this short webseries.
It's weirdly interesting without even having a clear focus point, a clear message or a clear anything actually.
The art is just awesome, i absolutely LOVE this style. But despite not having anything that clear in it's story or it's art, it still is interesting, you (at least i) still want to read it and continue, i don't really get or know why, it's very intriguing.
I'd recommend to read this as it takes no longer than an hour or so, i really enjoyed it despite not getting a clear message at the end, all i can think is the same thing as the people commenting here : Pointless and vain.
Mission-chan is pointless and vain, and that is what makes it very good and unique.
