Guess what? Parents are so shady and shitty that A) they straight-up lie about the house, B) throw their children in an abandoned and rotting wharehouse, and C) they don’t even give them some furniture not even a bed!
You really need a huge amount of suspension of disbelief to accept this whole premise.
The uncaring mother of “JK to Sutego” seems Mother Therese compared to this two families...

Frankly at this point the parents and the whole premise are just placeholders under the heading "Excuse to get two young people who don't know each other married instantly with nothing to their name".
