Kinda seems like everyone in this story is scummy, lol. I don't really understand why Alice is going along with this blackmail, though. I guess maybe she's not thinking straight? But I feel like there's no chance they don't film her prostitution and then blackmail her with that.

I mean she's pretty much SoL after the guy recorded her stealing and got her personal info. If she tells the guy off and runs, he goes through with the blackmail and that's her whole life up in smoke. And if she goes through with the prostitution then she's also doomed.
There's really no way out for her at this point and it's all her fault.

when it comes to Japanese blackmail and extortion schemes, they usually make situations that make it hard for the victim to get out of. it's going to be a dark downwards spiral from here on out
She was done once she got scared and followed him, if she made a scene in public she would've been able to get away and only get exposed for the stealing, losing her teaching license. She wouldn't get exposed for the papa katsu thing bc it would end up risking his whole scheme of blackmailing girls into prostitution.
It's going to get much worse for her down the line.
