A bit too Roman for a Napoleonic(-esque)-era setting, no? But yes that's the spirit. Maybe the simple "commoners" would strike a good middle ground.
lol yeah plebeians may be a but much. however idk if I'd have a fourth social class? iirc the "classic" division would be aristocrats>bourgeois>peasants plus the clergy that is a separate thing.

Honestly, I'm not sure where else it could go past the obviously incoming french revolution. Mitsuba's basically an immortal eldritch being that can kill anyone she wants whenever she feels like it. I wouldn't necessarily call her evil considering her attitude towards the baby but, I'm not sure what she'd do without the fun she'll derive from the revolution.
There’s references to other stories the author made so maybe we’ll see a cameo of those protags?

Altho, be cool if this same artist could also do adaptations of those stories

"Okay, so I'm making a new political party where everyone has to do what I want or they will die"

Truly a natural born politician.

this is such actually a good read, too bad that it looks like it has been axed(?)
No it’s more like “the manga caught up to what was written in the light novel” so other than the og author telling them spoilers or them takin a diverging path, I don’t think it’d continue unless the LN author writes more and maybe manga gets revived assuming this wasn’t just one long “commercial” for it to begin with

There’s apparently some Death God/Flame Ring stories by the same author that’s loosely connected:m/shared universe ? Be cool if the same artist also got a chance to do those but I wouldn’t mind two diff artists too if only for a variety of art styles tho I am fond of this one tho it does look quite diff from the noble illustrations

BTW it's bourgeoisie, not bourgeoise. Missing a i.
The bourgeoisie. One (male) bourgeois. One (female) bourgeoise.

As usual, very nuanced political intrigue in this series.

:smug: This is pure edgelord slop. It's only ok because Mitsuba is cute.

I think the translator is getting factions completely confused.
Page 7 shows liberals are the royalist faction and conservatives are the republican faction which makes no sense since we're not talking about 21st century US politics.
Page 25 We're told the liberals are protesting which doesn't make sense if they're the royalist faction.
Page 28 Immediately we see the protest is being led by an established republican.
