So the reason for her pathological cheating was... that she got rejected once??
I'm out. I've given this more than enough of chance. Not my cup of tea :notlikethis:

Imagine being spoon-fed exactly why she's a bad person for this way of thinking and having Mr Pibb Miyu state that there's no reason to forgive her and giving up on the story here.

It's funny how with 0 consequence for horrible actions, people not only never learn anything, but somehow twist and justify acting that way... Funny... haha...

Are you expecting her to have a grand flashback? If that was the case, will you have a better opinion of her?

I haven't mentioned it yet, so I'll mention it now:

My current theory is that Miyu had Dissociative Identity Disorder. The original Miyu was the primary personality / alter and New Miyu was (one of) her alter(s). When she fell from the roof, she sustained brain damage that erased the original Miyu's personality, leaving only New Miyu. If this is correct, it is able to explain how New Miyu is a totally different person that looks exactly the same and has the same name as the original Miyu without resorting to a supernatural explanation.

In nearly all real life cases of DID, alters do not share memories with each other, so it would make sense that New Miyu didn't know who the killer was. Original Miyu was in control of the body at that time.

Sure, we've seen a few scenes of both Miyus together, but this can easily be explained as a form of symbolism or metaphor.

This is what I think too but I need to see how Yuushin mom deal with generic!Miyu first.

So is mama shocked because she's going to be a grandma soon or that her daughter-in-law should be in a pot of ashes?

Why would her parents go along with this charade though? Why tell everyone she died when she's actually alive just a completely different personality with the same name? Unless she faked her death I guess.

Most likely it is just a coincidence though. I mean the running theme here is that people are shitty in this story for fairly simple, and even stupid, reasons. First guy because his mother gave up on life after his dad died so he was doing what he felt he needed to do so survive and the girl because she was obsessed over a guy who didn't like her back. I don't see why New Miyu would be so complex as being the original with DID and having to explain how she survived the fall without physical scarring of some kind.

Don't worry, once many other similar examples are out in the open for people to read about on the internet, most good men won't want anything to do with women while the latter will be left alone. What they do from there when they're painfully lonely is their problem.

i know this manga is mostly about the relationship between yuushin and miyu, but the whole investigation thingy is taken too lightly. like she immediately believes yuushin's shallow "alibi" and now does the same with koharu. i sure hope she just turns out to have faked her death and is the real miyu all along. cause that would explain this half-assed "investigation"
