This is mostly focused around Mori, though Aoki gets a couple of chapters for him and Hanami. Yeah, I think this levels out the melancholy of Natsu no Zenjitsu. You're left with a feeling that everyone just got on with their lives... with the exception of Akira, not even mentioned once.

What confuses me about this is how much the art changed, really jarring after I binged the prequel

I don't know what to feel, seems like everyone moved on even Aoki got his happy ending with Hanami. But damn Akira was never given a chapter or even mentioned. Still, I enjoyed reading this with the exception of Aoki Chapters .

For people confused as to why Akira is never mentioned here, this series chronologically takes place after Natsu no Zenjitsu, but it was actually released earlier. This also explains why the art is not as good as NnZ.... it's also very possible that Akira's character hasn't been created yet at this point in time.

Btw guys, this is an alternate universe, cellphones didn't exist yet in the prequel, and there are some inconsistencies between the two series. Natsu no Zenjitsu was most probably not planned yet when she wrote this.
