Not really, Unless they live in self isolation then yea but most elves live with other elves, I HIGHLY DOUBT they'd never experience someone lying to them, If lets say a elf lived in a forest for 500 years with like 100 other elves it would be wild if none of them ever lied to said person ever in 500 years, hence imo I think long lived creatures should know who is lying to them and who isn't

Let's say you live in the forest for 500 years, with like 100 other elves, what's the point of ever telling a lie, when every elf can ask the spirits to verify whatever you say? Most spirits would ruin your prank, unprompted, as a prank.

True but I said beings but used elves as a topic but I also meant dragons, undead, etc anything that lives long
also alot of people tell lies because they wana get away with stuff, stealing, trying to get something they shouldn't, trying to dodge trouble, etc etc, even tho older folks WOULD find out right away but I still feel like the younger folks who are less experienced would still lie to one another UNLESS lying became a taboo like someone else said in the comments

The anime art looks GOD TIER AWFUL, I HATE that there's even an anime of this coming, MC looks like a moe blob young boy in the anime and NOTHING like our MC who looks a tad older MEANWHILE the WIFE aka elf bruh her hair is SILVER or WHITE in the manga with hazel eyes BUT IN THE ANIME THEY MADE HER BLOND WITH LIKE BLUE FUCKING EYES lmao both of them are COMPLETELY different chars OTL

Omg thx, man this makes 100% sense now, the anime is going by the art direction of the LN, MC looking like a baby compared to the manga And the elf being blond+green eyes just like the LN

In the manga its completely different to the point that they are almost different characters LMAO
either way I don't like it and prefer the manga version BUT this atleast makes it more understandable, thx for the info
