So I’m guessing MC is like the “guide” for Xiao Yu? I’m guessing the gods/God can’t interfere directly, so when humanity was pretty much confirmed to have lost they chose him, as the person with the best chance of saving Xiao Yu (or someone like her, if there were others) considering he’s VERY experienced and closely related. Then, technically the gods didn’t directly intervene as they only reincarnated a good person (not that MC is really good but you know how gods can bs).

Anyways idk if that’s accurate at all, but for a quick brainless read this has been pretty fun so far. Ty for the TLs

@Zael Honestly 0 clue, I just felt like Xiao Yu being so unique and him returning to the past were suspicious. Honestly it could be as simple as a hidden skill, or an effect he didn't know an item he owned had, I just felt like thinking up a conspiracy theory. Never know with Chinese stories, the plot can either be WAY deeper than you expect, or seemingly important things can end up never being talked about or investigated again...
