The pacing is broken, the tone is all over the place and it seems to have forgotten the basics of classical Chinese storytelling, which is ironic since it explicitly references huaxia (ie Traditional Chinese Culture)....
Like seriously, studying some old school Shaw brothers stuff (One-Armed Swordsman comes to mind for this one) or really any 60-70's wuxia would do wonders for a story like this. Sword of the Yue Maiden ought to be mandatory reading for authors in the genre, especially on how to handle overpowered characters. Heck, even some xianxia has better structure than this mess. Well, maybe that's not fair. There are gods and magic, so I guess it's generic fantasy xianxia for an international audience?
Also, the description has absolutely nothing to do with the story. It directly contradicts the story, even.
I'm still reading it though, cause it's isekai and I have a problem that way.
EDIT, 1 mo later: Nah, I couldn't take it anymore and gave up....
