I was thinking why he didn´t brought a cheap cook knife, a cutter or an hobby knife cutter they are cheapper than an wooden sword, or why don´t just buy them all and use it wisely

Remember that he's still a student who needs to commute from school to the dungeon and his house to the dungeon, not to mention also living with his parents in their house; anything other than a baseball bat or a wooden sword would have gotten him at least questioned, provided he had the funds to acquire them in the first place with his high schooler money.

Also, hobby knives and cutters are too damn short for use in adventuring of any kind; even daggers are longer than those, so using such a short-distance weapon when he has pretty nuch never been in actual combat other than slimes?

I don't get the world building here, it's a world with dungeons now so surely they'd allow metal weapons. A wooden sword is useless, may aswell go in with a metal mallet or some kind of mace-like weapon if they are gonna be still "Can't have steel swords cause law".

As you said Vlad though, a baseball bat would be better then a wooden sword though by a country mile but really your lifes on the line going in so with all his income he's been getting it makes no sense to stay with a wooden sword.

That's all good and well but that's hardly the dumbest thing this mc has done.
He won't let his summon, who is vastly stronger than him, fight because he wants to showoff to her despite being a weak almost useless coward.

That's not why he doesn't let her fight. She mainly uses her skills to fight. But her skills are so overpowered, that the slimes he usually fights are completely eviscerated. Magic stones and all. If the magic stones are destroyed, that would make a dungeon crawl pointless since he wouldn't be making any money. And the reason he doesn't let her use hand-to-hand combat is that he doesn't want anyone to see an almost grown man order "someone who looks like a child" to fight monsters while he stands back where it's safe. And he wants her to sit out for the beginning of the second floor is because he has to get his get back. He has to defeat the two goblins that almost killed him back in chapter 2 or else it would destroy him on a personal level. He wouldn't feel vindicated.

If this series goes on long enough, I fully expect him to have some power-up that involves strapping a slime to his chest so he's permanently "in-combat" with a slime to get +50% stats.

Yes, she is a summon in a world where he's the only one with a summon so far. There is very little reason for anyone else to believe him if he tried to tell them she's not a real person or child who he's forcing to fight for him. But I will concede the point that the words he say to himself cause him to seem like a boy trying to show off infront of their crush.
