Man I'm absolutely in love with the concept of this manga. It's kinda similar to Undernauts: Labyrinth of Yomi where fantasy stuff just starts to pop up in your bog average earth.

Only while still alive. Once 'cooked' (and I use the word in the widest possible sense) then "Surströmming" (IIRC they used the correct word when he bought the can) is a "winner" (also the wrong word).

I guess I'm supposed to turn off my brain with this series. MC is stupid and retarded to a very high degree.

The acid slime, would of course target a weapon he OBVIOUSLY was trying to grab.
Sylphy could, you know, just take a deep breathe before deploying her shield again. The slime even stopped attacking.
Convenient item. Put stinky food you won't eat in your bag? Why? When you were whining about no item room earlier.

Guess this will only go comedy route. No romance or plot or storyline or character development. Comedy isn't even that funny in this series.
