Gotta admit this manga has been better than I expected. Genuinely feels like an actual Sunrise mecha anime (which we haven't gotten in awhile.)

Honestly, I don't understand this hatred of 8's unless there's some major oligarchy going on which makes it so that unemployment = death or something like that. The world would have to be some kind of dystopia to create a violent reaction to a new superior category of genetics.

Failing that, it might be the opposite problem. Society is so peaceful and idle that brainrot and vanity have taken over everywhere, so people have forgotten the terror of conflict, and start fights over petty things now because they're arrogant and brittle, and have little else to live for.
