Oh yeah, classic "You just haven't tried a tasty one!" bait. Have no qualms about putting oysters in my mouth, but never found taste nor texture appealing, and i don't recall ever changing my mind after hearing those words.

i find it... funny/odd that she goes to such lengths to hide what i consider "normal"... ¿what's the problem with being a picky eater?, is this a japanese cultural thing i'm not aware of?
¿Is it because they're pushovers and really weak to peer pressure?

I've always been a tremendously picky eater, but i've never had any problems with "gatherings" if there's something i don't like, i won't even try it, period and it's been that since a young age.

I assume it’s just something she’s embarrassed by because it can be seen as childish to still be a picky eater, a massive one at that.

I used to have a friend who would constantly pressure me to try foods I didn't like and then get pissed off when I would give in, try it, and turns out yep, I didn't like em - not super relevant but I relate to prez going to such lengths to hide her picky eating habits

This is so relatable cause I have been under pressure just like that. Especially the part where "It's ok, you don't have to try" which for some reason, with the flow of the conversation goes to "Yeah, maybe you should try one out". And resulting in the exact same way as this chapter did!
